Welcome to Meatless Mondays!

This blog is created for students to come together to share personal experiences of incorporating plant based meals once a week.
Here's more information about participating in meatless mondays:

Meatless Mondays began in 2003, launched in association with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. In May, 2009, Ghent, Belgium, became the first non-U.S. city to go meatless. Shortly thereafter, Paul McCartney introduced the U.K. to Meat-Free Mondays.

Today the movement has grown and is active in over 25 countries!

You are NOT alone!

In the coming months, as you start to "cut out meat one day a week", you will become part of a movement that is not only good for you, great for your nation’s health but also one that is crucial for a sustainable planet.

What exactly will going meatless mean to you? What all does it entail? What are some of your other options when it comes to replacing the meat on your plate? More importantly, in the long run what does this movement mean for you?

It is our hope that this blog will serve to answer all of these questions as you navigate through it. So, be interactive! You are welcome to post videos, comments and photos to help better illustrate your experiences (Click on 'Guidelines' to learn more about posting). Learning from your peers and their personal experiences will give you more confidence and great ideas on meal plans as you venture out to go meatless once a week.

Nourish Yourself. Be Inspired. Live Well.
