On the
first day of Meatless Monday, it was difficult for me to not consume meat
because I was not use to it. On Monday, for breakfast I usually would buy food
from Tim Hortons, for the reason that I don’t have time to make something to
eat. Instead, I decided to go to Starbucks and ordered a passion tea with
everything bagel with butter. For lunch, I ordered vegetable fried rice at
Young Chow in the Commons. Finally for dinner, I ate leftover eggplant with
tofu on rice that I made yesterday.
The meal that was affected me the most was
breakfast. Usually at Tim Horton, I would get a cup of tea and their breakfast
sausage sandwich. It was a bit difficult breaking out of my usual morning
routine. In my morning and lunchtime diet, I would usually include some meat so
it was a bit difficult breaking that habit.
This
meatless Monday campaign has impacted other days of the week. Like today
(Tuesday), I am more aware of trying to not eat meat. In a way, this campaign
helps people slowly ease into the concept of decreasing meat consumption.
Hey Alice
ReplyDeleteOverall, I’m impressed with your effort for this week’s Meatless Monday! I know not eating Tim Horton was hard because I usually eat Tim Horton for breakfast. So believe me I do understand the struggle. But I see we both substituted not having Tim Horton for a tofu meal later in the day ha ha. Anyways, good for you that you were able to incorporate a healthy and satisfying ingredient like that into your lunch.
