This marks the 4th week I have participated in meatless monday, things have been going pretty smoothly! I have packed my lunches before hand, so i wouldn't run into a situation of trying to find something while im out! Like most Mondays, I work during the day.. I always start off with my normal breakfast, oats with protein powder and banana. Full of fibre so it keeps me full for most of the morning! I decided this Monday to buy something at work... I work at a senior centre where i teach aquafit to the elderly community. They had a soup and sandwich combo with included a cabbage soup with a veggie wrap! It was very filling. I thought it would be a lot harder to find something meatless.. but if your eyes are open.. there are plenty of choices to choose from! The soup and sandwich cost 5.50, which i think was a great deal for the portion size i got! No one was really affected this week, looking forward to next meatless monday!

ReplyDeleteOats and bananas is a great choice and wonderful way to start your morning. Did you use natural oats or the package one? The wrap seem very interesting never had that kind before.I also agree there are many options for meatless Monday you just have to looking around.
